My interest lies in creating technology that empowers user agency, prioritizing accessible design and ethical considerations. With a background in user research and design thinking, I'm committed to building impactful solutions that are both user-friendly and safe.
What I've been up to recently...
- September 2023:I helped teach CS 147L as a course assistant! It's a full-stack course teaching mobile development in React Native. After 8 weeks of rigorous needfinding and prototyping, I helped students realize their products into functional, cross-platform apps.
- June 2023:I interned as a software engineer at Tarjimly, a non-profit aiming to provide international users with direct access to live translation services. My role involved user research using session data from Metabase, developing an improved matching algorithm, and helping deploy it on AWS.
- April 2023:While needfinding for "Designing for Accessibility", we found that learning content online needs to be an easier process, especially for people affected by Autism or ADHD. We developed LearningStyle, an LLM-powered web app for learning personalized to your format preferences and special interests. Check it out here!
- January 2023:I joined the Stanford HCI Group, where I worked on ReactGenie: a tool that helps developers build voice-controlled, multimodal apps using GPT-4, React Native, and TypeScript. Learn more about it here!
- September 2022:I helped develop "Neighborhood Watch", a Chrome Extension that leverages crowdsourcing to combat dark patterns. It allowed users to report dark patterns on websites and view reports from other users. Learn more about it here!
